Micah Parsons on hit on Travis Hunter: ‘That was so malicious and dirty.’

Deion Sanders has the Colorado Buffaloes 3-0 and ranked as the No. 19 team in the country according to the AP Top 25 Football Poll.

Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons expressed admiration for what Colorado has accomplished with Deion Sanders as head coach and gave his thoughts on Colorado’s season on his show “The Edge with Micah Parsons.”

Parsons was disgusted by the hit leveled on Travis Hunter by Colorado State’s defensive back Henry Blackburn.

“That was so malicious and dirty,” said Parsons, “ I thought that guy [Henry Blackburn] should have got ejected. That was something that you hate to see in football.”

Parsons went further saying Blackburn should suffer harsh consequences.

“This guy [Blackburn] doesn’t deserve to be [in] no football league,” said Parsons, “ At the end of the day in college and even in the NFL we need to protect our brothers.”

Blackburn has received ample criticism for the hit on social media but Colorado State coach Jay Norvell said he didn’t see the hit as malicious at his weekly press conference on Monday.

“It’s a play that happens sometimes. That’s certainly not something that we teach or coach. It happens in football sometimes,” said Norvell.

Colorado beat Colorado State 43-35 in double overtime. The Buffs win tripled their win total from last season. Parsons spoke about how impressive Buffs head coach Deion Sanders has been in his first year on the job.

“The thing that I love about Colorado is Prime Time [Deion Sanders] is doing it the way he wants to do it, he’s doing it the way he likes to do it and he’s not letting anyone change his style,” said Parsons.

Parsons thinks Colorado could be in the midst of something historic.

“Prime Time is doing something that we have never seen before and it’s something so beautiful to see,” said Parsons.
