Mild temperatures, light winds make for perfect Grey Cup weather in Winnipeg
Grey Cup weather in Winnipeg could be a lot worse than what's forecast for the city, especially at the end of November.
The high is expected to reach –4 C on game day, falling slightly to –5 C by kickoff, according to meteorologist John Sauder.
Still the weather is not as warm as it was on Grey Cup day in 1998, when the high reached 9 C.
Thankfully, it isn't as cold as 1991, when it fell to –15.6 C.
On Sunday, south winds become light in the evening as they gust at 20 km/h. The normal high for around this time of year in the city is –6 C.
Throughout the day, Environment Canada is predicting sunny skies.
On Monday, the high is expected to climb to –1 C, and the sun is expected to come out again.
