Moncton man dead after Highway 60 crash northwest of Ottawa
A 27-year-old man from Moncton, N.B., is dead after a crash in Eganville, Ont., about 130 kilometres northwest of Ottawa.
Ontario Provincial Police say a 66-year-old man was driving a pickup truck along Highway 60 heading west when his vehicle struck the guardrails and rolled into a ditch early Sunday morning.
His passenger, 27-year-old Jeffrey Poirier, was pronounced dead at the scene. Poirier was not wearing a seatbelt when the truck crashed, police said.
The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
