Montreal Canadiens vs. Boston Bruins tonight: 3 things to watch

The Montreal Canadiens play their arch rivals the Boston Bruins tonight.

The Habs are coming off an opening game 3-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, while the Bruins are licking their wounds following a 6-2 shellacking from the Winnipeg Jets in their opener.

Here are three things to watch for in tonight's match.

1. Claude Julien in the hot seat

It's only the second game of the season and already there is speculation that Bruins head coach Claude Julien has one foot out the door.

It feels like Julien has been on the hot seat for several years now, but he's still hanging on to his job even though he failed to get his team to the playoffs last season.

After losing 6-2 to Winnipeg in the opener, could another lopsided loss to the Habs tonight send Julien to the unemployment line after only game two?

2. The Price Show

The Habs were out shot 37 to 29 in the opening night win in Toronto. Carey Price bailed them out (sound familiar?) and they won.

After the game, P.K. Subban and Brendan Gallagher said basically that they allowed far too many shots and the team doesn't want to rely on Price so much moving forward.

So will the Habs walk the walk? Will they allow fewer than 30 pucks to fly at Carey? Or will tonight once again be the 'Price Show?'

3. Who wants to fight?

Last game, P.K. Subban got hit from behind by Leo Komarov and there was little to no 'price to be paid'. Do the Habs have anyone who can physically respond when the going gets tough?

Prust was traded to Vancouver, Kassian is in rehab. If Boston rings the bell, who on the Habs is going to answer? Dale Weise? Devante Smith-Pelly?

The puck drops at 7 p.m.
