Montreal Labour Day weekend roadwork includes Mercier and Jacques Cartier

St-Denis Street partially closed for emergency road work

It won't be easy for drivers trying to get in and around Montreal on Labour Day weekend.

Workers are taking advantage of the holiday to do some major roadwork.

Both the Mercier and Jacques Cartier bridges as well as the Lafontaine Tunnel are down to one lane in each direction.

On the South Shore, parts of Highway 132 near Longueuil is closed all weekend.

In Montreal, Atwater Avenue will be off limits between St-Antoine and René-Lévesque.

The Greene Avenue entrance to the Ville-Marie is being demolished as part of work on the new Turcot Interchange.

Transport Quebec has a full list of the closures on its website.
