Three men have been charged in connection with the abduction of a 16-year-old girl and an Amber Alert issued on July 27.
One of them is the girl's brother, Montreal police say, who described the abduction as a family conflict.
Police confirm two of the men are 21 years of age, and the third man is 22.
Officers say they were called to the B12 Burger restaurant, where the girl worked, in Kirkland Monday night at around 11:10 pm. The girl had reportedly been forced from the restaurant into a vehicle by one of the suspects.
The Amber Alert went out just after 6:20 a.m and was lifted shortly after. The teen showed up at a local police station.
Four men were initially arrested, but police say they released one of them after it was found he was not involved.
The Crown says all three men appeared in court this afternoon to face a range of charges, including kidnapping, forcible confinement, assault and uttering threats.
They all pleaded not guilty.
