Montreal police look for victims of accused child lurer

Montreal police's sexual exploitation unit is looking for potential victims of an accused child lurer who worked as a camp counsellor in Rivière-des-Prairies—Pointe-aux-Trembles.

Police arrested Steven Hoai Trung Lam, 20, in March in connection with luring a 10-year-old girl online.

Lam is facing several charges including luring and sending sexually explicit content to a child under the age of 14, and accessing, possessing and distributing child pornography.

He was released under conditions — he has a curfew, must stay away from any person under the age of 18 and cannot use a computer or access the internet.

Investigators are working closely with the administration at Don Bosco Youth Leadership Centre, where Lam has worked for the last three years.

Police say Lam went by the pseudonyms of Aznslam, HrnyAznboy and Slammt1habs on various social media platforms. Investigators are asking potential victims to come forward by contacting 911.
