Montreal Police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière said the incident happened in at the corner of Jarry Street and Pie IX Boulevard.
The woman was rushed to hospital and later pronounced dead.
The front-end loader had been clearing snow in the parking lot of the Super C. Lacoursière said its 48-year-old driver was treated for shock at the scene.
