More snow expected for Kings County

Kings County is expected to receive another two to five centimetres of snow Tuesday, says CBC meteorologist Kalin Mitchell.

RCMP in that area are advising motorists to stay off the roads. They are reporting road conditions are poor and visibility is about 200 metres.

Mitchell said the snow appears to be easing on the western edge of P.E.I. near Charlottetown.

"It is being reported as a wet snow so it may be compacting down quickly," said Mitchell.

Snow-covered and slippery roads have forced a few school cancellations Tuesday.

The English Language School Board closed the Morell, Souris and Montague family of schools for the day.

The French Language School Board closed the school in Souris.
