This Morning star Alison Hammond's alleged blackmailer arrested
A man who has allegedly been blackmailing This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has been arrested, police have confirmed.
West Midlands Police said that a 36-year-old man from Warwickshire was arrested on Saturday evening on suspicion of blackmailing Hammond, who recently presented this year's BAFTAs alongside Richard E. Grant.
The man is currently in custody for questioning.

Hammond had allegedly been blackmailed by the man for large sums of money and a BMW car that was reportedly worth £5,000.
According to a report in The Sun, the man allegedly threatened to spread lies about Hammond in order to destroy her career if she didn't comply with his demands.
"We are investigating an allegation of blackmail of a woman in her 40s," the police said in a statement. "We take reports of this kind very seriously."

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for WMP told BirminghamWorld: "A 36-year-old man has been arrested from an address in Warwickshire this evening on suspicion of blackmail against a woman in her 40s. He remains in custody for questioning."
Hammond is best known for her role as a presenter on This Morning alongside Dermot O'Leary, while she has also just been made the new presenter of The Great British Bake Off, replacing Matt Lucas.
