The most over-the-top looks on the 2023 Grammys red carpet: Harry Styles, Doja Cat, Sam Smith, more

Music's biggest night is bringing the bold, eye-catching and sometimes "what the heck are they wearing?" fashion moments.

From Cardi B's stunning blue number and Harry Styles' Love on Tour-esque jumpsuit to Shania Twain's campy polka dot pantsuit, the 2023 Grammys brought a plethora of stunning, surprising and memorable looks.

For better or for worse, these stars brought the wow-factor to the Grammys red carpet.

Cardi B

Cardi B, flanked by husband Offset in a dapper white tuxedo, stunned in a whimsical cobalt blue gown from Gaurav Gupta's Spring/Summer 2023 haute couture runway, featuring playful shapes and cutouts and a dramatic structure that flowed from her waist to her shoulders and above her head.

Sam Smith and Kim Petras

Sam Smith put the "red" in red carpet, and brought along a whole entourage for the occasion. The artist, who won for best pop duo/group performance with Kim Petras (also pictured and in all-red) for "Unholy," stepped out in an oversized red coat with a veiled top hat by Valentino. Petras looked bridal in a red mini dress with a matching veil.

2023 Grammy winners: See which stars took home the gold, from Harry Styles to Beyoncé

Harry Styles

Styles has become known for bringing colorful, sparkling and attention-grabbing fashion moments on stage. The "Harry's House" artist, who took home his first Grammy on Sunday for best pop vocal album, first turned heads in a rainbow jumpsuit by EgonLab, paired with white boots, layered necklaces and rings, and a neckline low enough to show off his many tattoos.

Lizzo

In case nobody told you today: Lizzo's red carpet looks are always special. The singer, nominated for five Grammys this year, showed off a custom all-orange getup by Dolce & Gabbana, featuring a light orange corseted dress with an oversized, flower-adorned dark orange cape – and our favorite nail art moment of the evening.

Shania Twain

Let's go girls, indeed – Twain brought fun and camp to the carpet in a black-and-white polka dot pantsuit with a matching hat by Harris Reed. It's giving Cruella De Vil; it's giving cowgirl; it's giving Twain living her best life and not taking anything too seriously.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat has become a regular red carpet standout. The Grammys was no exception. The singer and rapper showed off a vinyl (get it, like vinyl records?) Versace gown with a billowing train and matching gloves. She looks stunning, but we can't help but think about how hot she must be getting a la Ross's leather pants incident in "Friends."

Machine Gun Kelly

We were thinking more along the lines of "Tin Man goes to the School of Rock," but Machine Gun Kelly told E! correspondent Laverne Cox his tin foil-like chrome suit by Dolce & Gabbana was inspired by the concept of rising "from the ashes like a phoenix."

Kacey Musgraves

Musgraves loves an all-pink moment and the country star proved she's definitely still in her Barbiecore era in head-to-toe baby pink by Valentino, including a feathered coat on top of a skin-tight bodysuit and pointed heels.
