Motorcyclist dead after collision with pickup truck near Grande Prairie
A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a pickup truck late Friday evening, RCMP said in a release.
Police responded to the Wapiti Bridge at Highway 40 south of Grande Prairie at 10:20 p.m.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the truck were uninjured, police said.
Traffic in both directions was shut down for hours for the investigation but the highway was reopened Saturday morning.
Police said they won't be releasing the name of the deceased.
