Motorcyclist dies in collision with turning vehicle at Fort Worth intersection, police say

A man operating a motorcycle died on Sunday when he was ejected in a collision with a turning vehicle in west Fort Worth, police said.

The motorcycle and a passenger vehicle, which police did not describe further, collided about 8 p.m. at the intersection of South University Drive and West Cantey Street, Fort Worth police said.

Before the collision, the motorcycle was southbound on South University and approaching the intersection with Cantey Street, police said.

The other vehicle was traveling north on University and had entered the left turn lane to turn west on Cantey, police said. The passenger vehicle began the turn onto Cantey, entered the intersection and collided with the motorcycle, police said.

A motorcycle passenger, a woman who also was ejected, and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
