Motorcyclist dies after rear-ending truck; police looking for other driver
A motorcyclist died on Kellogg near Woodlawn early Saturday after speeding into the back of a truck, Wichita police spokesperson Andrew Ford said.
The driver of the red truck left the scene, he said.
Ford did not have information about the crash victim as of Saturday morning.
Several people called 911 around 2:08 a.m. about the fatal wreck in the westbound lane of Kellogg, Ford said in an email.
“According to witnesses, the motorcycle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when it rear-ended a red truck in the center lane,” Ford said. “The rider was ejected from the motorcycle, and EMS pronounced the individual deceased at the scene at 2:25 a.m.”
Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call detectives at 316-268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at 316-267-2111.
