MSNBC’s Joy Reid Lashes Out at Latino Men in Post-Election Meltdown

Joy Reid on Thursday scolded Latino men, a demographic that supported Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris, telling them, “You own everything that happens to your mixed-status families.”

On MSNBC, the day after a Latino radio host in Pennsylvania told hosts there that sexism among Latino men was to blame for Harris’ underperformance, Reid laid into them.

“While 91 percent of Black women voted for Kamala Harris, 53 percent of white women overall voted for Trump, despite the open disrespect and demonization hurled by JD Vance and the Supreme Court stripping women’s bodily autonomy, courtesy of Donald Trump,” she began.

“Latino men, who, despite the utter disrespect shown by Trump and his promise to deport some of your mixed-status families, most of them voted in a 55-percent majority to make the deportations happen,” she noted.

“You all voted with Stephen Miller and David Duke,” she said, referring to an architect of Donald Trump’s family separation policy and the former head of the KKK, who once supported Trump but oddly backed Green Party candidate Jill Stein this year.

“[You all voted] against your own sisters, who chose Kamala Harris with 60 percent of their votes,” Reid said. “So, you own everything that happens to your mixed-status families and to your wives, sisters, and abuelas from here on in.”
