Myleene Klass has been revealed as the first celebrity to compete on the new series of Dancing on Ice.

The former Hear’Say singer announced on Sunday (20 September) that she would be getting her skates on in the ITV competition series, writing on Instagram that she was “so excited” to be appearing on the show.

“Guess who won’t be holding the coats at the side of the rink anymore,” Klass, 42, teased.

“My girls have always wanted me to do this but I’ve always been too scared someone will skate over my fingers,” she continued. “Anyway, I want to make them proud and show them I’m up for a challenge when completely out of my comfort zone but most of all, I want a bum like Jlo!”

In August, Klass, gave birth to her third child, a son called Apollo.

Dancing on Ice is presented by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, with former Olympic champions Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean appearing on the judging panel.

Last season, they were joined by Diversity’s Ashley Banjo and John Barrowman.

The skating competition is expected to return in January 2021.
