A North Battleford man pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and elected to be tried by provincial court judge.

Trent Fox, 19, has been in custody since his arrest in October 2020.

Fox is accused of stabbing a 21-year-old man at a business in Prince Albert. Police say they were called to a business in the 3200 block of 2nd Avenue West at about 10 p.m. on Oct. 14, 2020.

STARS took the victim to a Saskatoon hospital with life-threatening injuries. Prince Albert Police say that Fox hitchhiked to Prince Albert from North Battleford earlier on the evening of Oct. 14.

The charges against Fox haven’t been proven in court.

Fox’s trial is scheduled to start in Prince Albert Provincial Court on May 20.
