NACI recommends AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine for Canadians 30+

On Friday, the National Advisory Committee on Immunization updated its recommendation for the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to be offered to Canadians 30 years of age or older. According to the committee’s vice-chair, Dr. Shelley Deeks, getting hospitalized or dying of COVID-19 can be more of a risk than getting a rare blood clot as a side effect of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
