Naomi Osaka advances, saves butterfly in Australian Open's best moment
Naomi Osaka has gained many fans over the years at the Australian Open.
The 2019 champion likely added many more on Friday after her magical moment with a butterfly.
During the second set of her 6-3, 6-2 victory over Ons Jabeur of Tunisia, a fan yelled to Osaka as she was about to serve, "There's a butterfly on your legs." Very delicately, Osaka scooped up the butterfly off her legs and placed it on the side of the court.

The butterfly, however, wasn't done with the three-time Grand Slam champion. It flew around Osaka, nestling on her nose and cheek.
Osaka, again, placed the butterfly on the side of the court. But the butterfly wouldn't stay still and flew off to end the magical moment.
Osaka went on to finish off Jabeur and will face Garbiñe Muguruza in the fourth round. Osaka advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open for the first time since her 2019 title run, and she'll likely have even more fans rooting for her now.
