NASCAR finally sees sun. No rain in the forecast for Darlington races.

NASCAR has little to fear weather-wise for Sunday’s events at Darlington Raceway. The forecast is sunny with a high near 86 degrees and a few cloud intervals throughout the day, according to AccuWeather.com and the National Weather Service.

After a regular NASCAR season mired by weather delays, there is a zero percent probability of storms or rain near the Darlington, S.C. track, according to AccuWeather.com. The Truck Series race starts at 2 p.m. on FS1, followed by the Cup Series’ Cook Out Southern 500 — the first race in the playoffs — at 6 p.m. on NBCSN.

Saturday’s Xfinity Series race, won by Brandon Jones, experienced similarly pleasant weather with some clouds, and Sunday’s forecast looks even better. The track is hosting a limited number of spectators for NASCAR’s Throwback Weekend, in which teams will race vintage paint schemes. The state has permitted up to 8,000 fans to attend.
