‘Nashville’ Fans Are Stunned After Devastating Episode

Thursday’s Nashville shocked fans when the main character of the show, Rayna Jaymes, died. She succumbed to injuries from the previous episode’s car accident. Family and friends rushed to her side in the hospital.

For a while, Rayna seemed to be recovering from the tragic incident. While she watched her daughter, Daphne, give a choral performance in the hospital room, her health quickly turned.

Her family immediately gathered in the ICU as Deacon got the news that Rayna was going to die. They said goodbye by singing “A Life That’s Good.”

After four-and-a-half seasons of the show, the lead character will be missed, and Nashville will need much more grief-stricken singing to help us get over the loss.

Nashville airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on CMT.
