The National Arts Centre has reached a tentative deal with its ushers and box office staff, averting a potential strike.
The four-year agreement includes a general wage increase and other benefits for the 109 workers, the NAC said in a press release.
The Public Service Alliance of Canada, the union representing the workers, said Thursday that a 72-hour strike notice was "imminent" after two days of slow progress during bargaining.
The workers had been attempting to reach a contract with the NAC since June 2016, and had voted in favour of striking earlier this month.
The union had said the key issues were wages, hours of work and scheduling, benefits and overtime pay.
