Whether you want to incorporate a few natural anti-aging skin care products or overhauling your routine, navigating the natural beauty space can be overwhelming. Luckily, there are retailers aiming to empower consumers to make the right decisions when it comes to shopping for beauty products.

Case in point: Credo Beauty. Dubbed as the Sephora of natural beauty, the retailer takes its commitment to selling products with safe ingredients seriously. "Consumers today are more informed and more empowered, and they are demanding transparency about their products, including information on ingredient sources," Michelle Connelly, Director of Merchandising and Planning at Credo Beauty tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

Each product on Credo's site has a complete list of ingredients with detailed information on each one. While the brand has banned all the ingredients on its "Dirty List," it also believes that not all synthetics are considered bad because after all water is a chemical. "Credo allows many safe synthetic or naturally-derived ingredients, as long as they are not included on our Dirty List," explains Connelly. "Sometimes a synthetic ingredient can be a more sustainable or stable alternative to a natural source."

When it comes to skin care, Connelly says, "The biggest misconception is that natural products aren’t effective." She notes that there are a lot of powerful ingredients that are naturally-derived and the industry is constantly innovating. "Many common skincare ingredients found in conventional products, such as vitamins and acids, have a plethora of natural sources that can be used in skincare products."

Ahead, shop some of the best natural anti-aging skin care products that are among Credo's best-sellers.
