Natural enemies defy the odds to become pen pals

Brisbane mailman Martin Struder sees dogs all day long on his delivery route and routinely posts pictures of the lovable pups on facebook.

One in particular is a Golden retriever named Pippa, who dutifully waits each day for her owner’s letters to arrive so she can promptly escort the deliveries to the front door. The only problem is, some days they don’t get any mail.

“Sometimes, Pippa comes out for the daily delivery but there’s no mail for her to collect. So I have to improvise,” Struder posted on Facebook.

He couldn’t disappoint Pippa, so he decided that if there was no delivery for her owners, he would give her some mail of her own.

Struder is a dog lover through and through and Pippa is not the only pup he aims to please. During the Christmas season he delivers tennis balls and treats to all the dogs along his delivery route.
