March 27 (The Sports Xchange) - Oklahoma City Thunder forward and reigning league MVP Kevin Durant will undergo surgery on his ailing right foot and is expected to be sidelined four to six months, the team announced Friday. Durant, 26, missed the first 17 games of the season after undergoing surgery in October to repair a fracture in the foot and now will miss the rest of the season and any possible playoff games. Durant, who underwent a small procedure last month to help alleviate pain in the foot, averaged 25.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 27 games this season. --- The Washington Wizards signed guard Will Bynum to a 10-day contract. The 6-foot, 185-pound Bynum played seven seasons with the Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons, averaging 8.2 points and 3.3 assists. Bynum appeared in 30 games this season for the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association where he averaged 22.3 points, 7.1 assists and 3.6 rebounds while shooting .564 from the field. --- The Brooklyn Nets signed forward Earl Clark to a 10-day contract. A first-round pick by the Phoenix Suns in 2009, Clark, 27, has seen action with the Suns, Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks. In 251 NBA games (54 starts), Clark has averaged 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds. Clark appeared in 19 games with the Shandong Flaming Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association during the 2014-15 season, averaging 26.7 points and 10.3 rebounds. --- The Detroit Pistons recalled forward Quincy Miller from the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA Development League. In three games with the Drive this season, Miller averaged 16.3 points and 11 rebounds. Miller, who signed with the Pistons for the remainder of the season on March 13, has yet to appear in a game with Detroit. --- The Houston Rockets recalled center Clint Capela from Rio Grande Valley of the NBA Development League. The 6-foot-10 Capela is averaging 16.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in five D-League stints covering 37 games, including 31 starts, this season.
