Just like Disney stripped all its content off Netflix and launched Disney+, NBC did the same with its new exclusive streaming service, Peacock. Named for the channel's iconic logo, Peacock exclusively launched this week for all Comcast Xfinity X1 and Flex Customers, granting them free access to Peacock Premium (scroll down to learn how to access). The rest of us, however, will have to wait until July 15, 2020 for the national launch, according to a press release from the company.

Now, there will be two ways to watch Peacock: for free, or for $4.99 a month. Peacock Free won't cost watchers a dime and will offer access to over 7,500 hours of programming. It includes next day access to current seasons of freshman broadcast series, complete classic series, popular movies, curated daily news and sports programming including the Olympics, and Spanish-language content. Peacock will also offer access to and select episodes of marquee Peacock originals, tent-pole series, as well as curated Peacock streaming genre channels.

For $4.99 per month (free for Comcast and Cox subscribers) customers can opt for Peacock Premium, which will include everything offered in Peacock Free, as well as access to even more titles, sports broadcasts, and Peacock originals—amounting to over 15,000 hours of programming. Peacock Premium customers will also have the opportunity to watch NBC's Late Night programming a few hours before air time.

While both Peacock Free and Peacock Premium include ads, customers can upgrade to an ad-free experience for $9.99 per month (if using Peacock Free), or $5.00 per month (if using Peacock Premium). In short: you'll never pay more than $9.99 a month for Peacock.
