NDP cite Global News investigation when questioning feds on clean drinking water for First Nations reserves

NDP MP Charlie Angus cited an investigation, conducted in part by Global News, in the House of Commons on Monday when he questioned what the federal government was doing to address the issue of clean drinking water on First Nations reserves. An investigation by a consortium including Global News, APTN News, and journalism students at universities across the country, led by Concordia University’s Institute for Investigative Journalism, examined how outdated federal policies make it difficult for First Nations to gain control over their infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment plants.
