Neighbour complaints lead to east-end drug bust

Complaints from neighbours about drug trafficking in an east-end neighbourhood led to the seizure of crack cocaine, cash and an air pistol Thursday evening.

The drugs and gun enforcement unit investigated a home on Maisonville Avenue near Edna Street after receiving reports of drug activity in the area.

Officers found a man who lived in the house just after 7 p.m. a few blocks away on Henry Ford Centre Drive and confiscated 15 grams of crack and $455 in cash. After searching his home, they also discovered an air pistol and a digital scale.
The 46-year-old suspect is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of firearm with defaced serial number and three counts of possess firearm while prohibited.
