New to Netflix in October: From Emily in Paris to Line of Duty

With the first weekend of October upon us and the rain settling in, we start to swap long days out in the park for cosy nights in front of the TV.

And if you’re stuck looking for something to watch, then Netflix has got you covered, with the streaming giant welcoming an impressive array of new films, drama and comedy to keep you entertained.

Halloween is beckoning, so expect to see a lot more spooky fare hitting the platform than usual – with thrillers such as The Conjuring, Paranormal Activity and The Haunting of Bly Manor set to chill your bones.

The fourth instalment of the found footage franchise follows Alex, whose life suddenly gets a whole lot weirder when she meets her neighbour’s son, Robbie.

The Conjuring (2013)

James Wan’s 2013 movie is set to both terrify and thrill - The Perron family moves into a farmhouse where they experience paranormal phenomena, and are forced to call experts to exorcise the demon haunting them.

Sisterhood of Traveling Pants (2005)

Based on the best-selling YA-novels, the film follows four best friends who are spending their first summer apart.

They keep in touch by sharing a magical pair of jeans that fit all four of them despite their different dress sizes.

The Ugly Truth (2009)

Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler star in this raunchy rom-com where an uptight TV producer hires a chauvinist dating coach and decides to test out his dating theories.
