ST. JOHN'S, N.L. — Newfoundland and Labrador is reporting one new case of COVID-19.
Health officials said today the new case involves a woman under the age of 40 who returned to the province from Alberta.
Authorities say the woman is in the central region of the province and has been isolating since she arrived.
The province says the new infection is not connected to the case reported Wednesday in Labrador.
That case involves a woman under 40 who travelled to the province from Saskatchewan as an essential health-care worker.
Newfoundland and Labrador has three active cases of COVID-19, and all are travel-related.
