On the ninth day of India’s 21-day lockdown (also, incidentally, the anniversary of India’s 2011 ICC World Cup win) the news cycle continued to revolve around the semi-living being that has crippled the world, quarantined its apex species and stalled its economy. The coronavirus apart, there was also an entertaining, and expected, outburst from another aggressive creature — the former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir — over all the fawning that that MS Dhoni six gets all the time. Oh, and don’t miss peacocks invading Mumbai’s streets amid the lockdown; people staying in does seem to have its upside: a lesson learnt, perhaps? Do scroll through....
