A possible heir to the throne is on the way!

Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting their first child, the Palace announced on Monday.

"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby, " a Palace rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news," the statement continued.

The 30-year-old beauty, who married Prince William on April 29, 2011, is already feeling the effects of her pregnancy.

"The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (morning sickness)," the statement continued. "As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in [the] hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter."
