Trump accuses ‘SNL’ of ‘hit job,’ media of ‘rigging election’

Donald Trump’s tumultuous week was skewered mercilessly on this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” on NBC. And the Republican nominee took to Twitter on Sunday morning to offer his review.

“Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me,” Trump tweeted. “Time to retire the boring and unfunny show. Alec Baldwin portrayal stinks. Media rigging election!”

During the opening sketch, Baldwin’s Trump vows to do three things in the town hall forum against Hillary Clinton (played by Kate McKinnon), who was introduced as “President Hillary Clinton.”

“I’m going to huff, I’m going to puff, and I’m going to blow this whole thing,” he says.

Both presidential hopefuls are asked if they view themselves as role models for children, and Baldwin’s Trump explains why he doesn’t need to be one.

“I’ve been helping kids my whole life,” he says. “I love kids. I love them so much, I marry them.”

The Trump campaign’s decision to invite Bill Clinton’s accusers to the second presidential debate was also mocked.

“They need to be respected,” Baldwin says as Trump. “They need their voices heard.”

“What about all the women accusing you of sexual assault?” co-moderator Martha Raddatz (played by Cecily Strong) asks.

“They need to shut the hell up,” he replies.

Later on the show, “SNL” dropped the hammer on the mounting allegations of sexual misconduct against Trump with “Melanianade,” a music video set to Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” featuring impersonations of several women, including Trump’s wife, Melania.

“I’ve stood by your side this whole campaign, your beautiful, dutiful Melania,” says the would-be first lady, played by Strong. “I can’t take it anymore. I am your wife.”

Trump’s daughters, Ivanka and Tiffany, campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, and former “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant and current Trump surrogate Omarosa Manigault are also portrayed in the sketch.

The women then say together, “You’re breaking us, taking it for granted that we’d always be there.”

“But one day soon, Donald, you may wake up and this bomb pussy-bow blouse will be gone,” Strong says as Melania.

It’s unclear whether Trump was referring to the “Melanianade” skit in his claim of an “SNL” hit job. But one thing’s for certain: He’s continuing to float the idea of a “rigged” election orchestrated by Clinton’s campaign.

“Election is being rigged by the media, in a coordinated effort with the Clinton campaign, by putting stories that never happened into news!” Trump tweeted on Sunday. “Polls close, but can you believe I lost large numbers of women voters based on made up events THAT NEVER HAPPENED. Media rigging election!”
