Nick Jonas and His Parents Land in India Reportedly to Meet Priyanka Chopra's Family

Reports say they're celebrating their (unconfirmed) engagement this weekend.

Earlier this week, an anonymous source told a newspaper in Mumbai that Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra would be celebrating their (still unconfirmed) engagement in Mumbai this weekend. Now, it looks like that rumor's coming true. On Thursday evening, People reported, Jonas and his parents—Denise and Kevin Sr.—arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Supporting that theory was the robin egg blue Tiffany & Co. bag reportedly dangling from Kevin Sr.'s hand. To recap, Jonas reportedly closed down a Tiffany's in New York back in July so Chopra could pick out an engagement ring.

Previously, an unnamed source told the Mumbai-based Daily News and Analysis that the couple's families would be meeting for the first time at their (rumored) engagement party on Saturday. "Priyanka has sent out messages to close friends and family members to set aside time on August 18 for a party," the source said. "It's exactly a month after her birthday and those close to the Quantico actress feel that she may make an official announcement about her relationship status at the bash. However, the venue of the do has been kept under wraps."

If the rumors check out, this would be Jonas's second trip to India to meet with Chopra's family. Back in June, he and Chopra spent a week vacationing there, with Jonas reportedly meeting Chopra's mother, Madhu, according to People.

“We’re getting to know each other and I think it was a great experience for him,” Chopra told People at the time. “That’s what he said. I think he really enjoyed it. It was really beautiful. He had a great time.”

It looks like this will be happening a lot more once the couple ties the knot. “To me, my whole life is about traveling,” she added to People. “I travel every two weeks on a different plane. My family flies over, my friends fly with me. It’s not a big deal in my world. It’s my normal.”
