Nicole Eggert Shares Hospital Selfie After Shaving Off Hair amid Cancer Treatment
The 'Baywatch' alum revealed her breast cancer diagnosis to PEOPLE in January
Nicole Eggert is embracing her new look.
The actress, 52, shared a selfie from the hospital on Instagram on Saturday as she received treatment for her breast cancer. “Egghead ♥️🥚♥️,” she captioned the shot, which saw her posing with her newly shaved head in a hospital bed. She wore a pair of glasses with a mask under her mouth and had an IV attached to her chest.
The selfie was her first since she shared a video on Instagram the day prior shaving her head.
“Maybe healing involves not so much changing ourselves but allowing ourselves to be who we are - Madeleine Eame,” she captioned the post, which saw her daughter Keegan, 12, help out with shaving the back of her head.
The Baywatch alum’s decision to shave her head amid her breast cancer diagnosis comes two months after she revealed the news to PEOPLE.

After finding a lump during a self-exam, Eggert underwent a discovery mammogram and three biopsies, which determined she had cancer.
“I can definitely feel it,” she said of the lump, which she’ll need surgery to remove. At the time, she had not yet begun chemotherapy and radiation and didn’t know if the cancer had spread within her body.
“It's there. It needs to be taken out," she continued. "So it's just a matter of do I have to do treatment before the surgery or can they perform the surgery and then I do the treatment after.”
“I have panics where I'm like, just get this out of me. You sit there and it's in you and you're like, every second that passes and it's inside of me. It's growing, and you're just like, you just want it out,” Eggert revealed.
She also admitted “This journey's been rough for me. This hasn't been a breezy sale through life.”

Eggert's primary concern is her children: daughters Keegan and Dilyn, 25. She said her “biggest fear” is not being there for them.
While her older daughter is “an adult,” she said of Keegan: “I have a 12-year-old at home where I'm the only caregiver. I have no family. I have nothing.”
“It immediately made me realize, there's just no succumbing to this. This is something I have to get through. This is something that I have to beat,” the star continued. “She needs me more than anything and anybody.”
