Late-night TV COVID-19 outbreak is triggering Stephen Colbert’s ‘P.T.S.D.’

On Tuesday, “The Late Show” host Stephen Colbert did not take the news of the recent COVID-19 outbreak very well. His primary concern is a possible return to the small office studio where he hosted the show at the onset of the pandemic.

“I am never going back into that storage closet where we did the show for 10 months,” Colbert said. “I can't do it. I got the P.T.S.D. from that little room up there.”

Colbert’s concerns are somewhat warranted as late-night tv has been hit hard with the virus. While he’s willing to adhere to the strictest of protocols, he made it clear he’s not shooting the show anywhere other than the Ed Sullivan Theater.

“I'm not leaving the Ed Sullivan (Theater). I will do the show with no makeup in a sweat suit on a GoPro, but I am f***ing never going into that room again.”
