Family devastated after Windsor man fatally struck by van

Motorcyclist in hospital with 'serious injuries' after crashing into parked car

The family of the man who was fatally struck by a minivan while walking along Lauzon Road in east Windsor has many questions about what led to the tragic death.

Paul Dupuis, 51, was walking to the store around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, his family told CBC News, when he was hit by a minivan piloted by a 20-year-old.

Witnesses told officers the driver was not at fault, said police, who do not expect to lay charges. But the family is still looking for more details about the crash.

"All we were told was that it was someone in a van," said younger sister Tammy Dupuis. "We would like to know more about it."

Jessica Connor grew up with Paul. She too was devastated by the news of his death.

"He was a great guy," she said. He "would help anyone, even strangers."
