No new school cases recorded in Dufferin, one resolved case

Heading into the Christmas break, some good news for schools, with no new cases recorded by the Upper Grand District School Board in Dufferin schools.

One case has also been cleared from the active list at Spencer Avenue School, with only one class indicated as remaining closed.

As of 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 18, there are six active COVID-19 cases in Dufferin County schools within the UGDSB. For more information on current reported COVID-19 cases within the Upper Grand District School Board, please visit their reporting page.

· Spencer Avenue Elementary School - Orangeville (1 active case, 1 class closure)

· Orangeville District Secondary School - Orangeville (5 active case, 3 class closures)

Current to Dec. 18, WDGPH has identified 38 active cases across Dufferin County, with a total of 10 newly confirmed cases from their previous update on Dec. 17. There are 424 cases in the area that have been resolved. At this time, six individuals are recorded as hospitalized.
