Non-Americans, Weigh In With Your Unfiltered Opinions On The 2024 Presidential Debate
It's officially election season. Following the heated and intense 2024 presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump on Tuesday (September 10) night, many voters have either found clarity or are still confused about who will earn their vote in November.
It's a moment that many Americans anticipated for the past month and a half. In August, I asked undecided voters if their opinion had changed after Biden stepped down and Harris announced her candidacy.
The responses varied. Some jumped on board with the Democrats, hoping to thwart the possibility of four more years of Donald Trump. A few were clear in their newfound support for the former president in the upcoming election. Others, however, felt like they needed to wait for the debate to make a decision.
The debate was in contrast to Trump's debate against Biden. From the moment Kamala Harris shook his hand, introduced herself, and said, "Let's have a good debate," it looked like Trump might have underestimated his opponent.
At one point, Kamala Harris dropped one of the coldest one-liners of the evening: "World leaders are laughing at Donald Trump."
This leads me to a question for non-American readers: how did you react to the fiery debate between Harris and Trump?

Do you think America will see its first South Asian and Black woman leading in the Oval Office? Will she be able to shift the narrative surrounding the Democratic Party post-Biden?
Or do you believe that enough Americans will be willing to look past Trump's poor performance and lack of preparation to elect him for another term in November?
As the two duked it out over policy regarding the future of democracy, the economy, immigration, reproductive rights, and more, the debate proved to be a pivotal moment before November 5, and ultimately, whoever gets put into office will impact the world.
