Nor'easter Blasts Brooklyn, Decreasing Visibility

A nor’easter brought strong winds and heavy snowfall to New York City on February 1, the National Weather Service reported.

The weather service for New York City said the storm could dump 16 to 24 inches of snow across the region, with “near blizzard conditions” in some areas.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio restricted “all non-emergency travel” after 6 am on Monday in anticipation of heavy snow and strong winds.
