Nor'easter Snowstorm Causes Power Outages in Connecticut

Power lines were downed causing outages in parts of Connecticut on December 5 as the first nor’easter of the season began dumping snow across New England.

Power supplier Eversource said “heavy, wet snow” was weighing down trees and power lines, with outages mainly affecting eastern parts of the state.

Roadways across the state were becoming slick, NBC Connecticut reported Saturday afternoon. State police had tweeted earlier that they were “responding to accidents all over the state,” and asked motorists to stay home if they can. Credit: @eweather via Storyful
