North Myrtle Beach pizza restaurant closed. What will open in its place?
A North Myrtle Beach restaurant recently shut its doors permanently. Pittsburgh Pizza Pub at 730 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach shut its doors in late December, owner Adam Lucas said in an interview.
Lucas said staffing concerns and difficulties during the offseason led him to shut down the eatery. Lucas said a Greek-themed restaurant will replace the Pittsburgh Pizza Pub.
“We were there for a while, as you see, but the seven days a week, day and night, gets old real quick,” Lucas said. “Your customers appreciate you. You appreciate your customers, and it’s all worth it in the end.”
The restaurant opened in 2021, serving pizza and other comfort food with a Pittsburgh sports theme. As of Jan. 1, 2025, it was being repainted, and signs on the front doors announced that it was closed.
