North Texas man killed in single-vehicle crash on I-30 in Arlington, police say

A 26-year-old man was killed Tuesday evening on Interstate 30 in Arlington in a single-vehicle accident, police said.

Officers responded to the westbound lanes of I-30 at the Texas 360 southbound exit around 6:10 p.m. A Chevrolet Impala had crashed head-on into the concrete barrier separating the two highways, according to police.

The Impala’s driver died at the scene. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt, police said. Investigators think an unsafe lane change led to the crash.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Kilton Dandre Gus, of Cedar Hill.

Parts of I-30 were shut down Tuesday night while investigators processed the scene.
