RCMP want to drill down to the bottom of a theft they're calling "brazen."
Police say grain thieves drained $20,000 worth of canola seed from a silo on Highway 2, about 10 kilometres west of Glenboro, Man., on March 19.
Glenboro is about 160 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.
According to police, the thieves brought a grain auger to the farmyard and used it to remove the seed from the silo before driving off with a full grain truck. They left the auger behind.
The investigation continues.
