MEADOWVALE, N.S. — RCMP in Nova Scotia's Annapolis County say a man faces extortion and harassment charges related to the release of intimate images.

Police say they received a complaint last Saturday alleging that a 36-year-old man was harassing a woman and distributing her intimate images without her consent.

The Mounties say an investigation revealed the man also threatened to post more intimate images of the woman online if she reported him to the police.

A search warrant was carried out at a home in Kingston, N.S., on Wednesday and police say they seized a number of electronic devices and arrested a man.

Police say Jonathon Paul Chase of Kingston, N.S., faces charges of harassing communications, extortion and distribution of intimate images without consent and is to appear in court in Annapolis Royal on July 5.

RCMP also say they believe there may be more victims, and they are asking anyone with information to contact them.
