HALIFAX — Nova Scotia is reporting 25 new cases of COVID-19 as well as 17 recoveries.
Officials say 14 of the new cases are in the central zone of the province, which includes Halifax.
Of those, eight involve close contacts of previously reported cases and the remaining six are under investigation.
Five new infections have been identified in the northern zone, where a cluster of cases in what health officials describe as a “defined, unvaccinated group” continues to grow.
There are three new cases each in the province's western and eastern zones.
Nova Scotia now has 137 active infections with nine people in hospital.
