HALIFAX — Nova Scotia is reporting 485 new cases of COVID-19 today.

Although a new daily high, the case count is not a major increase from the 476 cases identified on Sunday.

Officials have identified 317 cases in the Halifax area, 75 cases in the western zone, 57 in the eastern zone and 36 in the northern zone.

Public health is also reporting an outbreak at Parkstone Enhanced Care — a nursing home in Halifax's Clayton Park area.

One resident and one staff member have tested positive for COVID-19, but officials say no one at the home has been hospitalized as a result of the virus.

A total of nine people have been hospitalized because of the disease, including two patients who are in intensive care.
