Nova Scotia SPCA seizes 14 beagles, searches for West Gore owner

Animal cruelty investigators are appealing for help to find the owner of a remote Hants County property after 14 beagles, including seven newborn puppies, were seized from the site two weeks ago.

The Nova Scotia SPCA says it retrieved the dogs on July 22 after local law enforcement told them the animals had been left unattended for a long period of time.

The dogs were taken to a shelter in Dartmouth. All are in good health, but the property owner has not been found.

The adult dogs are up for adoption and the puppies will be available in the coming weeks.

The SPCA is asking the public to call 1-888-703-7722 if they have information about the property or its owner.
