There have been numerous adjournments in the case against a Prince Albert woman accused of shooting and killing an 18-year-old man.

Lynessa Highway is charged with manslaughter in connection to the death of a man in Prince Albert last year. Police didn’t release his name.

Highway’s latest appearance was scheduled on March 15 when she was expected to enter a plea but the matter was adjourned to April 1 in Prince Albert Provincial Court. Before that she was scheduled to enter a plea on Nov. 16, 2020, then Dec. 16, 2020, Feb. 4, 2021, and March 2, 2021.

Highway was released from custody in October 2020.

Prince Albert Police say a man was shot and killed during an incident in the 1700 block of 14 Street West on Oct. 10, 2020. They were called to a residence at about 1 a.m. and when they arrived they found a deceased man.

The charges against Highway haven’t been proven in court.
