Oakland Zoo Takes in Young Mountain Lion Cub Found Wandering Alone

A young male mountain lion cub was resting up at California’s Oakland Zoo after he was found walking alone down a road in El Dorado County, the zoo said on Wednesday, August 7.

The small cat, named Briar for the blackberry bush-like patterns on his coat, was thought to be four or five months old, the zoo said.

Briar is the 27th mountain lion rescued through the zoo
